Indian Head Massage is a beautiful massage form that has been practiced for thousands of years. It is part of the the Ayurvedic health system, designed to bring balance and wellbeing to the body, mind and spirit.

Treatments are carried out in a seated position and can be performed over clothes, or directly on the skin with massage oil. You also have an option to have nourishing oils applied to your hair.

The massage includes the upper back, shoulders, arms, neck, scalp and face. We hold a lot of tension in these areas, either from emotional stress or poor posture, so a variety of techniques are used to relax the muscles, ease sore spots and leave you feeling relaxed and calm.

As massage increases blood and lymph flow, Indian Head Massage is brilliant for: relieving headaches; clearing sinuses; soothing tense, tired muscles; encouraging hair growth; improving joint mobility; calming the nervous system; enhancing toxin removal. The deep relaxation felt during the massage improves wellbeing, aids sleep, increases mental clarity and lifts the mood. It really does feel wonderful!

An Indian head massage takes around 30 minutes, so can be combined perfectly with foot, facial or hand reflexology, or Reiki healing.
